ZuZu, the restaurant within Hotel Valley Ho, is known for being a fantastic brunch & dinner hot spot. Influencers, vacationing families, and large groups of bachelors and bachelorettes frequent this destination throughout the year. The mid-century modern dining area is filled with bright colors and aesthetically pleasing décor. It's both trendy and sophisticated.
My adventure here started around 1 PM on a Sunday. The restaurant was easy to find (connected to the hotel lobby) and not too crowded for a weekend around brunch time. One of the biggest aspects of the restaurant that stood out to me was their Bloody Mary and Mimosa Bar. It's not often that you're able to make your own drinks, so offering a make-your-own station is a great touch. Your server starts you off with vodka and champagne in respective cups and it's up to you what comes next.
Their Showstopper Shake was the real treat. The January Showstopper called "Chocolate Covered Cherry Pie" features a Nutella ice cream shake topped with a miniature cherry pie. A sparkler lodged into the side of the shake is lit upon delivery. I imagined the shake would be delicious, but it fully exceeded my expectations. It's also important to note that they donate $1 from every Showstopper to a different charity every month.
For big groups and special occasions, they have a huge beautiful back room called The Rosie Room, lovingly named after Rosalyn Bennett Lyon, who was the matriarch of the family that owns Hotel Valley Ho. ZuZu was also a nickname of hers, and the restaurant is a dedication to her love of cooking and time with loved ones.
