Release Pool Party - Louis the Child
Time & Location
About the event
In times where it becomes easiest to feel anything but, Louis the Child is here to make you happy. Over 50 million Spotify streams later, the two Chicago-bred wunderkinds have done just that, spreading glitzy, electronic bliss through stadium-ready anthems like "It's Strange," Icona Pop collaboration "Weekend," and "Fire." But their versatility and emotional range shines through brightest on most recent release, "Love Is Alive" (ft. Elohim), showcasing an understated tenderness, which Billboard praised as "soft and soothing."
Citing influences ranging from James Blake to Robert Glasper, duo Robby Hauldren and Freddy Kennett blend musical complexity and sonic experimentation in an individual strand of future bass that defies pop formulas, while catching the ear of outlets such as Pitchfork, BBC, Pigeons and Planes, and Taylor Swift's Instagram. Since supporting the likes of Madeon, Porter Robinson, The Chainsmokers, and Big Gigantic. Mixmag's #1 artist taking American dance music to the next level has quickly risen to headliner status. Currently in the midst of an extensive spring tour, Louis the Child is fully prepared to bring smiles to the crowds of Bonnaroo, Hangout, Middlelands, and more major festivals across the globe this summer.
Whethan is the brainchild of the 19-year-old producer and DJ Ethan Snoreck. Hot off the heels of a string of high-profile, chart-topping collaborations, including one with Dua Lipa ( “High”) from the “FiftyShades Freed” soundtrack, as well as “love gang” (ft. Charli XCX), “Savage” (ft. Flux Pavilion & MAX), “Be Like You” (ft. Broods) and “Good Nights” (ft. Mascolo) which was pegged to a 42-city “Good Nights” headline tour across North America, plus his latest release, “Superlove” featuring the London-based alt-pop duo Oh Wonder; Whethan celebrates 275M streams globally, but he’s just getting started.
The Chicago-born, Los Angeles-based DJ first made a name for himself as a SoundCloud producer, and he continues feeding the community that built him with bootlegs of artist like Clairo and Brockhampton, garnering attention from the artists, but also paving way for HypeMachine #1s. Gaining early attention from the likes of Skrillex and Flux Pavilion, Whethan continued to rise through the ranks building a loyal fan base that’s led him on the meteoric rise he’s on today. Whethan has toured arena stages supporting The Chainsmokers but has also shined during festival appearances including a hometown headline set at Lollapalooza, Billboard Hot 100 Music Festival, as well as at Coachella’s DoLab and Heineken House to name a few. Whethan returned to Coachella in 2018 (and nearly broke the internet after bringing Yodel Boy on stage with him), will appear at Outside Lands Festival, and this fall will kick off a Life of a Wallflower headline tour across North America.
